Chettinad Vidyashram in R.A. Puram was named the best school delegation at the 13th Clarion P.S. Model United Nations, concluding a two-day simulation held October 30 and 31 at P.S. Senior School.
The event opened with remarks by host school principal Dr. Revathy Parameswaran. Arnav Mahadevan, an alumnus of the institution who served as secretary general for the conference, addressed the opening proceedings regarding his personal experience with Model United Nations.
Over 290 delegates from 14 different schools participated in eight distinct committees throughout the gathering. The flagship committee focused on the Paris Peace Negotiations (PPN), simulating diplomatic negotiations among global superpowers during the Vietnam War.
The sessions aimed to provide delegates opportunities to refine analytical, persuasive, and negotiation skills while enhancing public speaking abilities and awareness of international affairs.
The conference concluded with a valedictory ceremony attended by Dr. M. R. Venkatesh, a leading advocate.
